Highly recommended by his dentist and his life coach, Rod Ferguson is a Boston-based cabaret singer and storyteller, who also happens to be funny. After more than a decade living someone else’s dream life as a software consultant, Rod chose to outsource that life, and now delights audiences with his infectious spark of mischievous joy.
His reputation for clever, comedic storytelling and enthusiastic, joyful singing is well earned, and he always leaves his audiences wanting more. In a good way. Rod sings a mix of Broadway, 20th Century Pop (pre-Napster), and Great American Songbook favorites, regardless of the place or occasion! Rod prides himself on humor that is tastefully absurd – never offensive or mean – and enjoyable by all. You are safe in his hands!
In addition to his solo cabaret shows, Rod has performed stand-up at Nick’s Comedy Stop, The Comedy Studio, and as part of the LGBT showcase of the Women in Comedy Festival. Want to sing along? Rod also serves as host for open mic nights at the Napoleon Room at Club Café, Boston’s premier piano bar venue. Rod is occasionally known to haunt New York City, Provincetown, and Bermuda as well.
